Mt Owen / Glendell jobs: know which part is actually mining.
Glencore still lists Mt Owen/Glendell as a current operation, but the work areas are not all in the same phase. Mt Owen continues mining; Glendell's Barrett Pit stopped mining in November 2022.
The important distinction
Mt Owen is active. Glendell's Barrett Pit is not.
Current Glencore material says Mt Owen Mine continues mining under an approval to 2037, while mining at Glendell's Barrett Pit ceased in November 2022 and the pit is now used for water storage. Ravensworth East within the wider complex also ceased mining in April 2024 and is in rehabilitation. The exact work area named in a vacancy matters.
